Notifications
XC Scribe keeps you informed about important events through in-app notifications and email alerts.
In-App Notifications
A bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your unread notification count. Click it to see your recent notifications.
Notification Types
| Type | Icon | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Job Completed | Green checkmark | A content generation or import job finished successfully. |
| Job Failed | Red X | A job encountered an error. |
| XCT Warning | Orange coins | Your XCT token balance is running low. |
| XCT Depleted | Red alert | Your XCT tokens have been fully consumed. |
Click on a notification to navigate to the related resource -- for example, clicking a job notification opens the associated project.
Use the Mark all read button at the top of the dropdown to clear all unread indicators.
Email Notifications
XC Scribe sends email alerts for important events. You can control which emails you receive in Settings > Personal Settings > Email Preferences.
Configurable Categories
| Category | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Usage & Billing | Low balance warnings, subscription changes, payment confirmations. |
| AI Studio | Updates on your AI Studio requests -- status changes and new messages. |
| System Alerts | Platform maintenance, service updates, and security notices. |
Toggle each category on or off using the switches. Changes take effect immediately.
Transactional Emails
Some emails cannot be disabled because they are essential for account security and operation:
- Password reset links.
- Email verification.
- Two-factor authentication codes.
- Team invitation links.
These will always be sent regardless of your preference settings.
